Privacy Policy

We collect: account information you provide (name, email, and optional profile details such as state and birthdate); content you create (notes, comments, thesis positions, candidate/official listing details); usage data (AI interactions and reading progress, used to meter monthly limits and improve the Service); and technical data such as log and device information. If you subscribe to our mailing list we collect the email address you submit for that purpose.

We use information to operate and secure the Service, provide AI features, enforce usage limits, process payments, communicate with you, and comply with law. We do not sell your personal information.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not collect or store your full card number — Stripe handles card data under its own privacy practices. We retain limited billing metadata (e.g., a Stripe customer/subscription identifier and your membership status) to manage your subscription.

We share information with vendors that help us run the Service, under contracts limiting their use of it: Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payments), Anthropic (AI processing of your queries), Google (optional sign-in), and Resend (email delivery and mailing-list management). AI prompts you submit are sent to Anthropic to generate responses; avoid including sensitive personal information in them.

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to secure the Service. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data, subject to limited records we must keep (e.g., for tax or fraud-prevention purposes).

You can view and update your profile in Account Settings, and you can delete your account at any time from Dashboard → Account Settings → Delete Account, which removes your profile and associated content. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (access, correction, deletion, portability); contact us to exercise them.

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

We may update this Policy from time to time and will post changes here with a new date. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
