Billing & Refund Policy

This policy explains how membership billing and auto-renewal work, how to cancel, and when fees are refundable. It supplements our Terms of Service.
1. Membership Pricing & Auto-Renewal
Membership is an automatically renewing subscription. You choose monthly ($5/ month) or annual ($50/ year), plus applicable taxes. Your selected payment method is charged at sign-up and then automatically on each renewal date (monthly or yearly) at the then-current price, until you cancel.
2. How to Cancel — Anytime, Self-Serve
You can cancel whenever you want, with no phone call or email required:
Dashboard → Account Settings → Membership → Manage Billing, then choose Cancel plan.
This opens the secure Stripe billing portal where you can cancel or switch between monthly and annual. Cancelling is at least as easy as subscribing. If you subscribed through Apple on an iOS device, manage or cancel your subscription in the App Store instead (Settings → your name → Subscriptions).
3. What Happens When You Cancel
When you cancel, your membership does not renew again. You keep Member access until the end of the period you’ve already paid for; after that your account reverts to the free tier. We do not charge any cancellation fee.
4. Refunds
Membership fees are generally non-refundable, including for partial billing periods, except where a refund is required by applicable law. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 30 days at support@revivingourrepublic.org and we’ll review it in good faith.
5. Candidate & Representative Listing Fees
Applying to be listed as a candidate or representative is free at this time. Approved applicants may then pay an annual listing fee to publish their listing; listing fees do not auto-renew — you pay again each year to remain listed. All listing fees (the application fee and any annual listing fee) are non-refundable, including if a listing is later declined or removed for a Terms violation, except where required by law.
6. Price Changes
We may change membership prices. Any change applies to your next renewal, and we’ll give you advance notice and the chance to cancel before the new price takes effect.
7. Failed Payments
If a renewal payment fails, we (via Stripe) may retry for a limited time. If payment cannot be collected, your membership will lapse to the free tier.
